o' to,5eu 1/e- <br />double - fronted or through lots may be permitted an additional sign on the second frontage, and <br />lots with Lakeshore frontage may be allowed an additional sign on the lake side of the lot at least <br />twenty-five feet back from the shore line of the lake. <br />For the purpose of selling or promoting a residential property of six or more dwelling units, a <br />two -sided sign not to exceed 35 square feet per side and not more than eight feet in height or a <br />combination of a ground- mounted sign and wall- mounted signs not to exceed 70 square feet, may <br />be erected upon the site not less than 15 feet from a property line. <br />In all other Districts a two -sided sign not to exceed 35 square feet gross surface area per side and <br />not more than eight feet in height, or a combination of a ground- mounted sign and wall- mounted <br />signs not to exceed 70 square feet may be placed not less than 15 feet from a property line. <br />Real estate signs shall be removed within seven days following the lease or real estate closing. <br />14.130. Political Signs <br />1. In years when a State General Election is held, political signs may be posted from August <br />1 until ten (10) days following the State General Election. Any such signs must be <br />removed by those responsible for their being posted. <br />2. In years when no State General Election is held, if there is a primary for any office, <br />political signs for all offices may be posted no more than twenty -one (21) days before the <br />primary election. When there is no primary for any office, such signs may be posted not <br />more than twenty-one (21) days before the General Election. All such signs must be <br />removed by those responsible for their being posted within five (5) days following the <br />General Election. Said political signs shall not exceed twelve (12) square feet gross area. <br />14.140. Public Ways Signs shall not be permitted within the public right -of -way or easements <br />except bench signs, and newspaper and cab stands, all of which shall be as governed by the <br />Building Code, and real estate signs and political signs as regulated in this Chapter. City, county, <br />and state traffic directional signs are permitted. <br />14.150. Temporary Sips. Permits for temporary signs, other than those allowed elsewhere in <br />this chapter, may be issued for periods not to exceed thirty (30) days. During any calendar year <br />only two (2) such permits may be issued for temporary signs on a parcel of property and there <br />shall be at least a ninety (90) day period between such permit effective dates. The surface of any <br />temporary sign shall not exceed seventy-five (75) square feet. If spotlights are used in <br />conjunction with temporary signs, such lights shall not be operated during more than five (5) days <br />in conjunction with any single permit and shall be placed in such a manner so as not to constitute a <br />traffic hazard. <br />A lighter than air balloon, no more than thirty -five (35) feet in diameter, may be used as a <br />temporary sign one (1) time per year for no more than five (5) consecutive days. <br />Page 49 <br />
