MINUTES PLANNING COMMISSION JANUARY 12, 1995 PUD & PRELIMINARY PLAT - REAL ESTATE MASTERS The City Planner replied that he did not have any grounds for denial. Knudsen pointed out that the Ordinance does not give any latitude to judge whether or not the structure would fit into the neighborhood. Keis stated that he was not pleased with the proposal, but it appears there is nothing the Planning Commission can do but recommend approval. Schletty pointed out that this is the second application for a CUP to move a house into the City within the last couple of months. Schletty was concerned that it appears there are no checks and balances in these situations. Schletty felt it would have been better if the applicant had submitted a detailed blueprint showing landscaping and giving the neighborhood a visual idea of what the house would look like. Garske asked if this house would be subject to the same landscaping requirements as new construction. The City Planner replied that it would. Mr. Knudsen recommended approval of a Conditional Use Permit to move an existing house into the City on a lot located at 256 Twin Lake Road as requested by Jason and Tia Graf subject to compliance with the recommendations of the Building Inspector and the City Planner as contained in his January 9th report. Motion seconded by Carson. Motion carried 6 - 0. Mr. Don Newpower, Real Estate Masters, appeared before the Commission requesting approval of a Planned Unit Development to allow more than one owner - occupied office building on a lot, as well as a Preliminary Plat for eight (8) office building sites on Lots 1 and 3, Heritage Office Park. Newpower reported that he has reviewed the Planner's report dated January 9th, and noted recommendation #3 regarding NSP. Newpower reported that they are proposing garages at the back of the buildings. This has been discussed with NSP, and 9 Page 82
