ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 1101.050. <br />RELATING TO LICENSING OF DOGS AND CATS <br />THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. <br />Chapter 1101.050. LICENSE AND REGISTRATION REQUIRED. All <br />dogs and cats over three (3) months of age kept, harbored or <br />maintained within the City shall be licensed and registered. Dog <br />and cat licenses shall be issued by the City upon payment of a <br />license fee of $15.00 for each dog and cat and shall be valid for <br />a period of two (2) years. Future changes to this fee shall be <br />determined by City Council resolution. The applicant shall give <br />the following information on forms provided by the City: owner's <br />name and address, and name, breed (if known), color, and sex of <br />the dog or cat. The applicant shall also present proof of rabies <br />vaccination to the City prior to issuance or renewal of a <br />license. <br />The provisions of this Section shall not be intended to <br />apply to dogs whose owners are visitors temporarily in the City <br />for sixty (60) days or less, to dogs brought into the City for <br />appearance in a dog show, or to "seeing eye" dogs trained to <br />assist blind persons when such dogs are actually being used by <br />blind persons as "seeing eye" dogs. <br />No person shall keep more than three (3) dogs or three (3) <br />cats over three (3) months of age in any residential dwelling <br />unit within the City of Little Canada. However, the total number <br />of dogs and cats per dwelling unit shall not exceed four (4). <br />Section 2. <br />This Ordinance shall take effect and be enforced from and <br />after its passage and publication. <br />PASSED by the City Council of Little Canada this day of <br />, 19 <br />ATTEST: <br />Michael I.
