Hanson <br />The League of Minnesota Human Rights Commissions is requesting a <br />representative of the City to join their statewide response <br />network to aid victims of hate -bias crimes. The League would <br />also like all cities to have an active Human Rights Commission. <br />The City's Code provides for the establishment of a Human Rights <br />Commission. If the Council so desires, staff can advertise to <br />determine if there are any citizens interested in forming such a <br />group. At a minimum, the City should appoint a representative to <br />the League, and an advertisement could be placed to determine <br />interest in that position. <br />Page 49 <br />
