APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS MeMENEMY ROAD (from County Road B to Viking Drive) IMPROVEMENT NO. 2013 -19 WHEREAS, Pursuant to a resolution passed by the Council on October 16, 2013, the City Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for the improvement of MeMenemy Road (from County Road B to Viking Drive) consisting of full reconstruction including concrete curb and gutter, and upgraded storm sewer system along with maintenance and improvement of existing sanitary sewer and watermain systems, and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for approval; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA: 1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. The City of Maplewood shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official newspaper an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be opened and that the bids will be received by the City of Maplewood until March 13, 2014 at which time they will be publicly opened at the City of Maplewood City Hall Engineer, will then be tabulated, and will be considered by the City of Maplewood Council on March 24, 2014. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City of Maplewood and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's cheek, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid. 2, Attest: Joel R.
