March 31, 1995
City of Little Canada
515 E. Little Canada Road
Little Canada, MN
Dear Council members;
My name is Scott Barraclough. This is a written request for
your support to appoint me on the planning commission for the
city of Little Canada.
I have been a resident of Little Canada since January 1979
when my wife and I built our current home at 2570 Stark St.
We have 2 children, Jeff, 11 and Katie, 14.
My qualifications to consider are as follows. I have been a
realtor for over 21 years, starting with my 1st broker, R.R.
Waite Realty in 1973 in Little Canada. I worked for
Rockne Waite listing and selling homes, land, etc., until
1980. That year I then joined Burnet Realty and worked at
the Roseville office. I became an assistant manager of that
office in 1987. My role in that position included primarily
the training of new sales associates, recruiting of other
sales associates from other brokers, helping people grow in
their business, and fostering a great work environment.
During that time I became involved with the St. Paul
Association of Realtors. In 1989 I was elected on the Board
of Directors by my peers at the association. In 1990 I was
elected Treasurer for that association for 2 years reporting
on an annual budget of over 1 million dollars. In 1991 I
moved to the Fridley /New Brighton office of Burnet Realty as
the assistant manager and have the same duties as I did at
the Roseville office. I also would like to add that I still
am actively servicing customers in listing and selling their
real estate.
To summarize, here are 3 ideas that I believe in. First, is
the opportunity for personal growth. Second, is to be
dedicated to change (however, not for changes sake). And
last but not least is to make it fun.
Thank you for your consideration and time to consider my
application.
Sincerely
41110
Scott Barraclough
112 X-5/ +)oHt
S )9.. 0q'g W OK
Page 110
