Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Scaize
Jim LaValle
Steve Moreton
Bob Pedersen
ADMINISIRATQR
Joel R. Hanson
The proposed mission statement has been forwarded to the Planning
Commission, Park & Recreation Commission, Community Pride
Committee, and City Staff for review and comment. The comments
of the Planning and Park & Recreation Commissions are attached
for your review. The Community Pride Committee reviewed the
mission statement, but did not have any specific comments or
recommendations.
City Staff discussed the mission statement at a recent staff
meeting. The consensus of the staff is as follows:
The use of the word "customer" should remain in the mission
statement as proposed;
The fourth paragraph should be restructured to read, "We
work to enhance our unique identity and quality of life in
partnership with our community."
The phrase "As an urban community" should be eliminated from
the last paragraph.
Page 92
