CITY OF LITTLE CANADA ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 301.010 AND 301.030 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA RELATIVE TO THE ADOPTION THE MINNESOTA STATE BUILDING CODE. THIS ORDINANCE AMENDMENT: PROVIDES FOR THE APPLICATION, ADMINISTRATION, AND ENFORCEMENT OF THE MINNESOTA STATE BUILDING CODE BY REGULATING THE ERECTION, CONSTRUCTION, ENLARGEMENT, ALTERATION, REPAIR, MOVING, REMOVAL, DEMOLITION, CONVERSION, OCCUPANCY, EQUIPMENT, USE, HEIGHT, AREA, AND MAINTENANCE OF ALL BUILDINGS AND /OR STRUCTURES IN THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA; PROVIDES FOR THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS AND COLLECTION OF FEES THEREOF; AND REPEALS ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES THAT CONFLICT THEREWITH THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE CANADA HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 301. of the Municipal Code of the City of Little Canada is hereby amended to read as follows: 301. UNIFORM BUILDING CODE ADOPTION 301.010. BUILDING CODE. The Minnesota State Building Code, established pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 168.59 to 16B.75, one copy of which is on file in the office of the City Administrator, is hereby adopted as the building code for the City of Little Canada. Such Code is hereby incorporated in this ordinance as completely as if set out in full. A. The 1995 Edition of the State Building Code effective March 20, 1995 adopts by reference the following chapters of Minnesota Rules: 1. 1300 Minnesota Building Code 2. 1301 Building Official Certification 3. 1302 State Building Construction Approvals 4. 1305 Adoption of the 1994 Uniform Building Code including Appendix Chapters: a. 3, Division I, Detention and Correctional Facilities b. 12, Division II, Sound Transmission Control c. 29, Minimum Plumbing Fixtures 5. 1307 Elevators and Related Devices 6. 1315 Adoption of the 1993 National Electrical Code 7. 1325 Solar Energy Systems -1- Page 32
