P.03 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95 <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF <br />DIANNA LANE RETAINING WALL IMPROVEMENTS <br />WHEREAS, The City Council on April 26, 1995 approved the construction plans <br />and specifications for the construction of Dianna Lane Retaining Wall Improvements and set <br />a bid date of May 18, 1995 at 11:30 A.M. C.D.S.T., City Hall; and <br />WHEREAS, an advertisement for bids for the improvement was published in the <br />"North Suburban Press" and "Construction Bulletin "; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement, bide were <br />received, opened and tabulated according to law, and bids listed in Exhibit "A" were received <br />and complied with the advertisement; and <br />WHEREAS, it appears that Sunram Construction is the lowest responsible bidder; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City Engineer that the contract be <br />awarded to Sunram Construction. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Little <br />Canada, County of Ramsey, State of Minnesota, as follows: <br />1. The proper City Officials are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract, as provided by law, with Sunram Construction for the Dianna Lane Retaining Wall <br />Improvements according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council <br />in the amount of $26,514.00. <br />2. The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forth -with <br />to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder <br />and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />Passed this 24th day of May, 1995. <br />Attest: <br />City Administrator <br />Introduced by <br />Seconded by: <br />Voting in favor: <br />Voting against: <br />Mayor <br />Page 59' <br />
