MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />APRIL 11, 2007 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 11th day of <br />April, 2007 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Bill Blesener called the meeting to order at 6:10 p.m. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Mr. Bill Blesener <br />Council Member Ms. Barbara Allan <br />Council Member Mr. John Keis <br />Council Member Mr. Rick Montour <br />ABSENT: Council Member Mr. Michael McGraw <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Mr. Joel R. Hanson <br />City Clerk Ms. Kathy Glanzer <br />2007 GOALS/ The purpose of tonight's workshop is to conduct an information update <br />ACTION PLANS meeting with the City Council and staff to review Action Plans for the <br />implementation of 2007 Goals. <br />Conduct Outdoor Storage Study for I-1, I-2, and I-P Districts. The <br />City Administrator reviewed this proposed action plan. Council discussed <br />the fact that the majority of outdoor storage problems exist in Ryan <br />Industrial Park. It was noted that once changes are made to outdoor <br />storage regulations, there will be grandfather rights for properties having <br />approved Conditional Use Permits for outdoor storage. <br />The Council discussed the Frattalone interim use permit for outdoor <br />storage which expires in September of 2009. Blesener indicated that he <br />would like to see aphase-out plan for this interim use. The City is <br />scheduled to begin review of the status of this permit in September of <br />2008. The City Administrator pointed out that Frattalone has purchased <br />the adjacent property, and it appears that the outdoor storage on this site is <br />exceeding the approved CUP for that property. <br />As part of the outdoor storage study, the Council indicated that they want <br />to review what is allowed in surrounding cities to ensure that Little <br />Canada is on track with its neighbors. <br />
