MINUTES <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />MAY 1, 2014 <br />VETERANS Sanders reported that application was made for a $15,000 grant for the <br />MEMORIAL Veterans Memorial Project. Eight grants were awarded in the amount of <br />PROJECT $9,900 each, and Little Canada is the recipient of one of those grants. <br />Sanders indicated that at next month's Veterans Memorial Committee <br />meeting the status of fund - raising will be discussed and how close the <br />Committee is on funding so that the project can be started. Sanders <br />indicated that he is optimistic that the project can start this summer. <br />ADJOURN <br />Sullivan asked about the Eagle Scout project. The Director indicated that <br />the picnic table has been ordered that the Scout is ready to start his <br />project. The Director noted that the Eagle Scout project will proceed <br />independent of the Veterans Memorial project.
