MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
APRIL 25, 2007
VEHICLE REPAIR LICENSE BASED ON THE TWENTY-FOUR (24)
FINDINGS OF FACT AS READ INTO THE RECORD BY THE CITY
PLANNER, AND BASED ON THE CITYADMINISTRATOR'S
REPORTS ON THE CURRENT STATUS OF THE PROPERTY
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener.
Ayes (4).
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
McGraw noted that given the Text Amendment was denied which
proposed the increase of motor vehicles sales lots from four to five,
technically, the City has no additional licenses to issue. The City Attorney
replied that that was correct, but recommended that the Council take
action on the application.
The City Administrator noted that there was a misunderstanding that
occurred several years ago in the issuance of a vehicle sales license. That
error resulted in five vehicle sales lot licenses, rather than the limit of four
under the Code. It was the position of the Council at the time the error
was discovered, that when one of the licenses was not renewed, the total
number would remain at the maximum of four as provided under City
Code.
Mr. McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOL UTION NO. 2007-4-104 -DENYING THE APPLICATION OF
VALOR ENTERPRISES, 3161-3167 SPRUCE STREET, FOR MOTOR
VEHICLE SALES LOT (OUTDOOR) LICENSE BASED ON THE
TWENTY-FOUR (24) FINDINGS OF FACT AS READ INTO THE
RECORD BY THE CITY PLANNER, AND BASED ON THE CITY
ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORTS ON THE CURRENT STATUS OF
THE PROPERTY
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener.
Ayes (4).
Nays (0).
