MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 9, 2014 <br />CONSENT <br />AGENDA <br />PURCHASE <br />AGREEMENT — <br />RICE STREET/ <br />VIKING DRIVE <br />PROPERTY <br />The City Administrator thanked the Finance Director and City staff for <br />their work in assisting the Auditors. He noted that the City's bond rating <br />was recently upgraded and pointed out that Little Canada is financially <br />strong. <br />Boss introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2014-7-124 —APPROVING THE CONSENT <br />AGENDA WHICH CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING: <br />*APPROVAL OF THE VOUCHERS; <br />*APPOINTMENT OF ELECTION JUDGES FOR THE AUGUST 12, <br />2014 PRIMARY ELECTION AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />CLERK TO MAKE ANY ADJUSTMENTS AS DEEMED <br />NECESSARY; <br />*APPROVAL OF PARTIAL PAYMENT TO FPI PAVING FOR <br />LITTLE CANADA ROAD IMPROVEMENT; <br />*APPROVAL OF SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH RAMSEY <br />COUNTY FOR LITTLE CANADA ROAD IMPROVEMENT AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, ACTING MAYOR, AND CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; <br />*AUTHORIZING REIMBURSEMENT FOR TREE LOSS ON <br />EDWARD STAFKI PROPERTY DUE TO LITTLE CANADA ROAD <br />IMPROVEMENT AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ENGINEER <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator presented a final Purchase Agreement for the <br />sale of the City's property at Viking Drive and Rice Street to Davis Real <br />Estate Services Group, L,LC. The Davis Group will be developing a <br />7,500 square foot general medical building on this property. The purchase <br />price is $375,417 less a $30,000 commission. The City Attorney has <br />reviewed the Purchase Agreement and finds it in acceptable form. <br />The Administrator indicated that one issue relates to the known <br />contamination of this site which was formerly occupied by Oasis. The <br />City believes the contamination to be minimal and has provided Davis <br />4 <br />
