MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
JULY 9, 2014
Group with the contamination reports for this site. If the contamination
proves to be a bigger issue, the matter could come back to the Council for
discussion of a cost share for addressing the contamination. The
Administrator indicated that the County would likely also be involved, if
this is the case.
McGraw asked about the approval process for the medical clinic. The
Administrator indicated that the medical clinic development is a permitted
use, but the building is subject to Architectural Review by the Planning
Commission and the City Council.
Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2014-7-125 — ACCEPTING THE PURCHASE
AGREEMENT AS SUBMITTED FOR THE SALE OF THE CITY
PROPERTY AT VIKING DRIVE AND LITTLE CANADA ROAD AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, ACTING MAYOR AND/OR CITY
ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE PURCHASE AGREEMENT
AND OTHER APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS RELATIVE TO THIS
SALE
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw.
Ayes (4).
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
PIONEER The City Administrator noted that at the last meeting the Council directed
PARK staff to obtain a price for full replacement of pavers at Pioneer Park with
PAVERS concrete. The Administrator reviewed the City Engineer's July 8°i report
which estimated the cost of full removal of the pavements and
replacement with concrete at between $80,000 and $90,000 for a 4" think
plain white concrete. Adding color to the concrete could increase the cost
by up to $26,000. The cost for repairing pavers to address the settlement,
disturbed areas, and trip hazard around the building is estimated at
$27,000. The Administrator reported that the City had budgeted
approximately $22,000 for this work, but noted that the cost of addressing
the trip hazard had not been included in the budget estimate.
Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2014-7-126 —AUTHORIZING THE
EXPENDITURE OF UP TO $27,000 FOR PIONEER PARK PAVER
REPAIRS AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ENGINEER
5
