MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 23, 2014 <br />PW -PARKS The City Administrator reported that James Steele Construction, <br />FACILITY — construction manager for the Public Works -Parks Facility, has obtained <br />QUOTES FOR quotes for earthwork and for site utilities. The Administrator reported <br />EARTHWORK that three quotes were received for earthwork, with the low quote <br />submitted by Jaycon, LLC in the amount of $98,373. James Steele <br />Construction recommended the award of the low quote. <br />McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2014-7-142 — AWARDING THE LOW QUOTE OF <br />JAYCON, LLC FOR EARTH WORK AT THE PUBLIC WORKS - <br />PARKS PROJECT IN THE AMOUNT OF 08,373 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The Administrator reported that three quotes were received for site utility <br />work with the low quote submitted by Jaycon, LLC in the amount of <br />$60,888. James Steele Construction recommended award of the low <br />quote. <br />Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2014-7-143 —AWARDING THE LOW QUOTE OF <br />JAYCON, LLC FOR SITE UTILITY WORK AT THE PUBLIC <br />WORKS -PARKS PROJECT IN THE AMOUNT OF $60,888 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution adopted. <br />VETERANS Montour reminded the general public that the Veterans Memorial video <br />MEMORIAL can be viewed on the City's cable channel. He encouraged anyone <br />interested in purchasing a paver to do so prior to Labor Day, so that the <br />paver can be installed at the Memorial Dedication Ceremony on Veterans <br />Day. <br />DEMONT Rocky Waite asked the Council to consider dead -ending Demont Street <br />STREET at the railroad tracks. He suggested that this will eliminate the railroad <br />crossing at Demont Street as well as reduce traffic through neighborhoods. <br />14 <br />
