Hanson <br />JoAnn Barrieau owns the property at 331 Little Canada Road. As you will recall, the Fire <br />Department has identified this parcel for possible acquisition to address long term needs <br />for their operation. We did budget for this possible acquisition. <br />Staff has been in contact with Ms. Barrieau and she has indicated an interest in selling the <br />property. An appraisal of the property has been completed and she appears interested in <br />selling the property to us at that price. In fact, she is pursuing a new property and needs <br />to be sure we will complete the transaction so she is able to purchase a new home. (The <br />purchase price is within the budgeted amount) <br />Therefore, staff is recommending that the Council document its approval of the potential <br />purchase of 331 Little Canada Road at the appraised value and direct staff to prepare the <br />purchase agreement to consummate the transaction. <br />
