2928 N 2nd St.
Minneapolis, MN )'t
55411
( 612) 205.6653
It's time to expect'!;
MORE
roni your security..;;,
To the Members of the Little Canada City Council,
SECURITY
GROUP
August 11, 2014
The following letter is intended to outline the proposed Security Plan for the Voodoo Live
restaurant and Event Center. EPG currently provides Security services to a wide variety of clients
in the Hospitality and Entertainment field, including Myth Event center, Mill City Nights (Mpls), all
the Cara Irish pubs (Mpls and St. Paul), The Freight House (Stillwater), the Blue Heron Bar (Hugo),
Solera (Mpls), Brave New Workshop (Mpls) and many others. Our goal is to protect the safety of
our client's patrons, and to ensure the business is operating in compliance with liquor laws, city
ordinances and safety guidelines. We do this by providing Security Agents who are trained and
licensed in the State of Minnesota, and focusing on customer service and professionalism.
Our Agents are experienced in monitoring patrons for rule infractions, unsafe behavior and
intoxication levels. All patrons will be checked for proper identification before being served
alcohol, and closely monitored for overconsumption. Agents exercise judgment and look to
provide safe solutions to prevent patrons from leaving the venue intoxicated. As we have done
in many similar venues and settings, we seek to develop a positive working relationship with local
Law Enforcement to ensure all requirements and expectations are met, and any potential risks are
mediated. Our philosophy involves solving problems, and staying away from the stereotypical
"bouncer" mentality. Our Agents are friendly, approachable and experienced, and always have
the patron's best interest in mind.
In addition to general bar security. Our Agents are trained and experienced in effectively operating
concert events, and ensuring the safety of patrons in a live music setting. By monitoring entry and
conduct within the venue, we can de-escalate and prevent potential problem customers, prior to
being served in the venue.
EPG Strongly believes that Voodoo Live needs a proactive Security partner to effectively develop a
positive atmosphere, and meet the expectations of the City of Little Canada, and its residents. By
providing any required number of Licensed, Trained and Insured Security Agents, we plan to
create an inviting and safe atmosphere for all potential patrons.
Thank you for your time, I am happy to elaborate at any time on any security procedures that
would be applied to this venue.
Sincerely,
Ian Griggs
Operations Manager
11
