MIN UTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AUGUST 25, 2014 <br />CELL TOWER <br />LEASE - <br />53 SOUTH <br />OWASSO <br />BLVD. <br />The City Administrator reviewed the recommendations of Steel In The Air <br />relative to the value of a cell tower lease at 53 South Owasso Blvd. He <br />also reviewed other lease terms, including an annual escalator and access <br />concerns. <br />The Administrator indicated that he is in continued negotiations with the <br />cell company, and suggested that if the Council is comfortable with the <br />parameters discussed this evening, they could authorize approval of the <br />lease subject to those terms and approval by the City Attorney. If those <br />terms are not agreed to by the cell company, the issue would be placed on <br />the September 10°i Council agenda for additional consideration. <br />Boss introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2014-8-168 —APPROVING THE CELL TOWER <br />LEASE FOR 53 SOUTH OWASSO BLVD. SUBJECT TO THE <br />TERMS PROPOSED BY THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR AND <br />APPROVAL BY THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (3). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />THRIVE Blesener expressed concern with the Metropolitan Council's employment <br />2040 projections that are a part of their Thrive 2040.
