MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 10, 2014 <br />TEMPORARY The City Clerk reported that an application for a temporary liquor license <br />LIQUOR has been received from St. John's Church for their spaghetti dinner to be <br />LICENSE — held on Saturday, October 11, 2014. Application materials are in order <br />ST. JOHN'S the appropriate Certificate of Liquor Liability Insurance has been received. <br />CHURCH Staff recommends approval <br />Boss introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2014-9-177 — APPROVING OFA TEMPORARY <br />LIQUOR LICENSE FOR ST. JOHN'S CHURCH SPAGHETTI <br />DINNER TO BE HELD SATURDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2014 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />PUBLIC The City Administrator reviewed the master budget for the Public <br />WORKS- Works -Parks Maintenance Pacility and noted that there are a few areas <br />PARKS identified by the Construction Manager where a cost savings could be <br />FACILITY achieved. The first was for providing a wall mount CT cabinet next to <br />BUDGET the generator cabinet in lieu of a pad mount. Estimated cost savings is <br />REVIEW $2,400, and the City Engineer reviewed and felt this change was <br />acceptable. The Council agreed with the change. The next was to change <br />copper feeders to aluminum for specific runs. Estimated cost savings was <br />$8,000, and the City Engineer did not recommend this change. The City <br />Council was opposed to the change. Next was to delete hand dryers in the <br />locker rooms with an estimated cost savings of $1,500. The Public Works <br />Superintendent found the change acceptable as did the City Council. The <br />final change was to provide painted precast in lieu of stone veneer on all <br />exterior elevations. Estimated savings was $51,000 and the Architect <br />found the change acceptable though not desirable. The Council discussed <br />this change in detail and felt it was acceptable provided that the precast be <br />a contrasting color to the balance of the building's precast. Blesener asked <br />if this portion of the precast could be stamped. The Administrator <br />indicated that he would ask the Construction Manager about this option. <br />12 <br />
