MINUTES CITY COUNCIL SEPTEMBER 10, 2014 Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2014-9-170 — APPROVING THE AMENDMENT TO PUD -C DISTRICT AND PUD PERMIT FOR OUTDOOR STORAGE AND OUTDOOR DISPLAY AREA FOR POOLSIDE, 121 EAST COUNTY ROAD C UNTIL SEPTEMBER 10, 2016 SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF TIIE CITY PLANNER AS OUTLINED IN HIS AUGUST 5, 2014 REPORT WITH THE FOLLOWING MODIFICATIONS: *REQUIRING LANDSCAPE SCREENING INSIDE THE FENCE AREA TO PROMOTE THE SURVIVABILITY OF THIS LANDSCAPING; *OUTDOOR STORAGE AREA SHALL BE SURFACED WITH CLASS V MATERIALS; *OUTDOOR STORAGE AREA PERIMETER TO BE MARKED; *PROPERTY LINE FENCE TO BE STAINED; *OUTSTANDING CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL SHALL BE COMPLETED AS OUTLINED IN THE COMPLETION PLAN SUBMITTED BY POOLSIDE; *POOLSIDE TO COMPLY WITH THEIR PLAN AS SUBMITTED TO ENSURE NON-COMPLIANCE; *COMPLIANCE INSPECTIONS TO BE COMPLETED BY THE CITY NO LATER THAN OCTOBER 31, 2014 WITH A FOLLOW-UP INSPECTION IN THE SPRING OF 2015; The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. Ayes (4). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. RAMSEY Ramsey County Sheriff Matt Bostrom appeared before the Council to COUNTY provide an update on Sheriff's Department activities for the past year. SHERIFF'S The Sheriff reported that the Department takes great pride in serving the REPORT contracting cities. The Sheriff reported that the service being provided is getting better and better thanks to the men and women of the Ramsey County Sheriff's Department. The Sheriff reported on the hiring philosophy within the Department which selects people based on character and then trains for competence. Traits that the Department is looking for in new hires are truthfulness, honesty, responsibility and respectfulness. The Sheriff reported that the Ramsey County Sheriff's Department was invited recently to make a presentation on this model by the National Sheriff's Association. 3
