MINUTES CITY COUNCIL SEPTEMBER 24, 2014 The Administrator recommended that the Council call a public hearing for adoption of the 2015 Final Budget at the December 15th Council meeting. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2014-9-192 — CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR MONDAY, DECEMBER 15, 2014 TO CONSIDER ADOPTION OF THE 2015 FINAL BUDGET The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. ACCEPT The City Administrator reported that Don Bowman is retiring from both DON BOWMAN'S his position with St. Paul Regional Water Services as well as with the RESIGNATION City as Parks Program Supervisor effective September 30, 2014. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2014-9-193 — ACCEPTING THE RESIGNATION OF DON BOWMAN AS PARKS PROGRAM SUPERVISOR WITH RESERVATIONS The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. FIRE DEPT. The City Administrator reported that the Little Canada Fire Department CONTRACT has requested that their contract extension with the City extend through the end of October, 2014. The Administrator noted that the issue to be resolved in finalize this contract through the end of the year relates to Fire Relief benefits. The Administrator reported that progress is being made in negotiating this issue. He recommended that a workshop be called for October 8, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. so that the details of this issue can be reviewed with the full Council. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2014-9-194 — APPROVING THE LITTLE CANADA FIRE DEPARTMENT CONTRACT EXTENSION THROUGH OCTOBER 31, 2014 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AS WELL AS CALLING A COUNCIL 10
