MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 24, 2014 <br />The Administrator recommended that the Council call a public hearing for <br />adoption of the 2015 Final Budget at the December 15th Council meeting. <br />Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2014-9-192 — CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING <br />FOR MONDAY, DECEMBER 15, 2014 TO CONSIDER ADOPTION <br />OF THE 2015 FINAL BUDGET <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ACCEPT The City Administrator reported that Don Bowman is retiring from both <br />DON BOWMAN'S his position with St. Paul Regional Water Services as well as with the <br />RESIGNATION City as Parks Program Supervisor effective September 30, 2014. <br />Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2014-9-193 — ACCEPTING THE RESIGNATION <br />OF DON BOWMAN AS PARKS PROGRAM SUPERVISOR WITH <br />RESERVATIONS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />FIRE DEPT. The City Administrator reported that the Little Canada Fire Department <br />CONTRACT has requested that their contract extension with the City extend through <br />the end of October, 2014. The Administrator noted that the issue to be <br />resolved in finalize this contract through the end of the year relates to Fire <br />Relief benefits. The Administrator reported that progress is being made in <br />negotiating this issue. He recommended that a workshop be called for <br />October 8, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. so that the details of this issue can be <br />reviewed with the full Council. <br />Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2014-9-194 — APPROVING THE LITTLE <br />CANADA FIRE DEPARTMENT CONTRACT EXTENSION <br />THROUGH OCTOBER 31, 2014 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR <br />AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT ON <br />BEHALF OF THE CITY AS WELL AS CALLING A COUNCIL <br />10 <br />
