Hanson <br />There are three issues relative to the City's Tobacco Ordinance to be considered by the City <br />Council at Wednesday's meeting. These are as follows: <br />General Tobacco Sales & Display License — <br />As previously discussed by the Council, the City Attorney has prepared a Tobacco Ordinance <br />Amendment (attached) which clarifies the criteria for a General Tobacco Sales & Display <br />License. The highlights of the proposed changes are outlined in my October 7, 2014 memo <br />attached. <br />Please note that General Tobacco Sales & Display License holders have been notified of the <br />changes under consideration this evening. 'these license holders have also been asked the <br />amount of cubic feet that they have dedicated to tobacco display area, and the results of that <br />survey is as follows: <br />Gas N Go — 21 cubic feet; <br />I-loggsbreath — one small bin of cigarettes kept under the bar area; <br />MGM Liquor Store — 1 cubic foot; <br />Kath — 24 cubic feet (plus 32 cubic feet not visible to customers); <br />No other responses. <br />Based on the responses from the General 'Tobacco Sales & Display Licensees, City staff is <br />recommending a maximum tobacco display area of 50 cubic feet. <br />1 <br />
