MINUTES CITY COUNCIL AUGUST 22, 2007 There was no one present from the general pubic wishing to comment on this matter. Upon motion by Keis, seconded by Montour, the public hearing was closed. Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2007-8-201- VACATING THE I2-FOOT WIDE DRAINAGE AND UTILITYEASEMENT, BEING 6 FEET WIDE ON EACH SIDE OF THE LOT LINE BETWEEN LOT 3, BLOCK I AND OUTLOTB, YORKTONNORTHPHASE77 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by I{eis. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. MOORE'S Mayor Blesener opened the Public Hearing to consider the Preliminary EVERGREEN and Final Plat for Moore's Evergreen Hill consisting of six (6) single- HILL family lots at 75 Old County Road C. Blesener noted that the City Planner and the Planning Commission have recommended approval subject to compliance with the recommendations of the City Planner and the City Engineer. Blesener noted that a similar plat was approved for this property a year or two ago; however, that plat was never finalized. Tim Freeman, Folz, Freeman, Erickson, Inc., representing the developer Jeff Moore, reported that Mr. Moore is purchasing the property and continuing with essentially the same development that was previously approved by the City. Blesener noted the City staff report dated April 22, 2007 relative to the cul-de-sac design. Freeman reported that staff is concerned about the proposed pavement width of 22 feet around the center island o.f the cul-de- sac. He reviewed the diagram he submitted which shows the turning movements for a truck traveling around this cul-de-sac. Freeman reported that they are in agreement with increasing the pavement width to 26 feet as recommended by City staff. Blesener noted that the center island of the cul-de-sac will have a 60 foot diameter, and asked the dimension for a typical cul-de-sac. The City Engineer reported that a typical cul-de-sac has a 45 foot radius, resulting iu a 90 foot pavement width. Blesener asked where the additional 4 feet will come from. Freeman replied that it will come from the outside. The center island will remain the same size.
