CITY CENTER <br />REMODEL <br />PROJECT <br />MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />NOVEMBER 12, 2014 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 12th day of <br />November, 2014 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at <br />515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Acting Mayor Rick Montour called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. and <br />the following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: <br />ABSENT: <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Acting Mayor <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Mayor <br />City Administrator <br />City Clerk <br />Mr. Rick Montour <br />Ms. Shelly Boss <br />Mr. John Keis <br />Mr. Michael McGraw <br />Mr. Bill Blesener <br />Mr. Joel R. Hanson <br />Ms. Kathy Glanzer <br />The purpose of this evening's workshop is to review various <br />components of the City Center remodel project. The City Administrator <br />reviewed the quote provided by James Steele Construction for the remodel <br />work. The quote is as follows: <br />Base Bid Remodeling $291,311 <br />Recommended Contingency $25,000 <br />Alternate #1 -Remove and Replace <br />Operable Partition Fabric $4,968 <br />Alternate #2 -Remodel Bathrooms #1 1 1 <br />And #112 (Public) and New Fixtures <br />In Employee Bathrooms #119 and #120 $21,470 <br />Recommended Contingency $5,000 <br />The Council discussion the replacement of the fabric on the partition wall <br />and was in agreement that this work should be done. The City <br />Administrator was instructed to have the designer determine an <br />appropriate color for the wall. <br />Next discussed was the remodel of the public bathrooms. The <br />Administrator noted the cost associated with doing so, and pointed out <br />there are two issues related to this proposed remodel. Those are the <br />
