A resident asked if there were options for paying the assessments for those with <br />limited incomes. The City Administrator replied that there were some deferment <br />programs available for qualifying property owners. <br />There was a question on why it was necessary to add curb and gutter and <br />sidewalk rather than just putting a new road surface in matching what is already <br />there. The City Administrator discussed the history in Little Canada regarding <br />curb and gutter and stated that it is a policy that the City Council put into place in <br />the mid-90s and has stuck to since then. It protects the road, defines the edge, <br />and, most importantly, conveys water off of the road. <br />The City Administrator then said staff would recommend that the potential project <br />move forward to an improvement hearing with the Council. <br />The Centerville Road property owners were thanked for their participation. <br />13 <br />
