However, with Q3 donating the <br />PROJECT concrete and based on actual bid prices, the work came in at $36,698 <br />including a $4,000 allowance for engineering costs. Therefore, the cost to <br />the City for this component of the project is only slightly above the initial <br />estimate and well below the final estimate. <br />TIF DEFAULT - <br />THE VILLAGE <br />The Administrator noted that there are two other components of the <br />project that City staff believes should be City expenses. The first is the <br />addition of a picnic table that was installed as part of an Eagle Scout <br />project. The Parks Consultant committed the City to the cost of materials <br />that he estimated to be $500. The actual cost was $2,146. The second <br />component was for the costs associated with moving the obelisk The <br />actual costs of moving the obelisk was $2,800, with Frank Frattalone <br />capping the cost of moving at $2,000 and an additional $800 for <br />installation of a concrete footing. <br />The Administrator indicated that the total cost of the Veterans Memorial <br />Project to date is just under $120,000. The Committee incurred <br />approximately $78,000 in costs and has fund raised just over $81,000. <br />Therefore, the Committee has a surplus of $3,524.35. The Committee will <br />begin work on Phase II of the project. <br />The Administrator recommended that the Council authorize payment of <br />the additional costs associated with concrete, picnic table, and obelisk <br />relocation. <br />Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2014-11-218 — APPROVING THE <br />EXPENDITURE OF ADDITIONAL COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH <br />THE VETERANS MEMORIAL PROJECT RELATIVE TO PICNIC <br />TABLE AND OBELISK RELOCATION AS RECOMMENDED BY <br />THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator reviewed his November 21s` report recommending <br />that the City issue a Notice of Default to Sherman Associates, the <br />developer of The Village and the mortgage company.
