MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />MARCH 5, 2015 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Parks & <br />Recreation Commission of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota, was held on <br />the 5th day of March, 2015, in the Council Chambers of the City Center <br />located at 515 Little Canada Road East in said city. <br />Vice Chair Kong Vang called the meeting to order at 6:34 p.m. and the <br />following members of the commission were present: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: <br />Mr. Kong Vang <br />Ms. Sharen Darling <br />Ms. Linda Fahey <br />Mr. Tom Maida <br />Mr. Dave Miller <br />Mr. Kevin Steinert <br />ABSENT: Ms. Patti Sullivan <br />ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Jim Morelan, Parks & Rec Dir. <br />Mr. John Keis, Mayor <br />Mr. Bill Sanders, Parks Consultant <br />Ms. Kathy Glanzer, City Clerk <br />APPOINTMENT Kong Vang thanked the Council for their confidence in him to serve as <br />OF VICE the Commission Chair for 2015. He asked for nominations for the position <br />CHAIR of Vice Chair. <br />Upon motion by Maida, seconded by Steinert, Dave Miller was appointed as <br />Vice Chair for 2015. <br />MINUTES The Commission unanimously approved the minutes of the January 8, 2015 <br />meeting. <br />THANKS TO Mayor Keis thanked the Commission for the job they do for the City and <br />COMMISSION their valuable assistance to the Council as part of the decision-making <br />process. Keis indicated that the Commission Members should feel free to <br />contact him or other members of the Council at any time. <br />WARMING The Parks & Recreation Director indicated that the warming house is nearly <br />HOUSE complete. The timers for the restroom doors will be installed soon and there <br />UPDATE are a couple of punch list items remaining. He indicated that a decision was <br />made to postpone opening the warming house at this time given the <br />
