The Administrator reported that
SALE while staff had not had a complete discussion about this, it is his opinion
that a City-wide garage sale helps with regard to code enforcement -related
issues, ensures that most sales in the City are held at one time thus
minimizing garage sale signage/traffic over the season, is a nice service to
residents, and a draw to the community. He agreed that City
staff continuing the garage sale was a way to do this. Keis felt that this
task would fall under the parks and recreation umbrella. The
Administrator agreed that this is the logical City department to administer
the garage sale.
The Administrator noted that Canadian Days held the garage sale for two
%2 days, from Thursday to Saturday noon.
