Information for Bidders <br />C. More than one Proposal from an individual, firm, partnership, or corporation under the same or <br />different names will not be considered. Evidence that any Bidder is interested in more than one <br />Proposal for the same work will constitute cause for rejection of all such proposals. Collusion <br />between the Bidders will be considered sufficient cause for the rejection of all bids so affected. <br />D. A bid Proposal may be disqualified because of errors in computation which cannot be resolved by <br />mathematical correction without resorting to information not contained in the bids. <br />E. All Bids will remain subject to acceptance for the period of time stated in the 131c1 Form, but <br />Owner may, in its sole discretion, release any Bid and return the Bid security prior to the end of this <br />period. <br />14. AWARD OF CONTRACT <br />A. The bid opening is open to the public on this project, but no award will be made immediately <br />upon opening bids nor until the bids opened can be tabulated, scheduled, and reviewed by the <br />Owner. The Contract shall be awarded by Owner action, and the Bidder to whom award of Contract <br />is made will be notified at the earliest possible date. An abstract of the amounts of the base Bids and <br />major alternates, if any, will be made available to Bidders within a reasonable time after the opening <br />of Bids. <br />B. Award of Contract will be made to the lowest responsible Bidders) as determined by the Owner. <br />On unit price contracts, the low bid shall be the lowest correct total of unit prices extended by the <br />estimated number of units set fforth in the Bid Proposal. On bids utilizing best value contracting the <br />correct total of unit price extensions and the technical proposal score will be utilized to calculate <br />each bidder's adjusted score, The low bidder will be the bidder with the lowest adjusted score. On <br />lump stun contracts, the low bid shall be the low base bid. On bids including alternate(s), Owner may <br />award the Contract based on the base bid or any combination of base hid and alternate(s). Contract <br />award to the lowest responsible bidder shall be based on, but is not necessarily limited to, the factors <br />of price and the Owner's evaluation of the vendor's ability to service the City. <br />C. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive minor items, informalities, <br />defects or technicalities in any or all bids. <br />D. In evaluating I3ids, Owner will consider whether or not the Bids comply with the prescribed <br />requirements, and such alternates, unit prices and other data, as may be requested in tate Bid .Corm or <br />prior to tate Notice of Award. <br />E. in evaluating Bidders, Owner will consider the qualifications of Bidders and may consider the <br />qualifications and experience of Subcontractors, Suppliers, and other individuals or entities proposed <br />for those portions of the Work for which the identity of Subcontractors, Suppliers, and other <br />individuals or entities must be submitted as provided in the Article 15 and other parts of these <br />specifications. <br />F. Owner may conduct such investigations as Owner deems necessary to establish the responsibility, <br />qualifications, and financial ability of Bidders, proposed Subcontractors, Suppliers, individuals, or <br />entities to perform the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents. <br />City of Little Canada, City :Flail Audio/Video Project 6 <br />10 <br />
