MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
JANUARY 24, 2007
ADDING THEM TO THE CITY'S WORKERS' COMPENSATION
COVERAGE AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY
ADMINISTRATOR
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour.
Ayes (5).
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
PLANNING Blesener noted that given the appointment of Michael McGraw to the
COMMISSION Council, there is a vacancy on the Planning Commission. The Council
VACANCY reviewed the options for filling this vacancy as outlined in the City
Administrator's report dated January 19, 2007. It was the consensus of the
Council to advertise the vacancy as well as contact the most recent
applicants to determine if they were interested in being considered.
Blesener noted recent applications from Park Commission members
interested in serving on both the Park Commission and the Planning
Commission. It was the consensus of the Council that a person should not
serve on both commissions in order for the City to have more people
involved in. It was felt that more involvement by a variety of individuals
resulted in better decisions. The Council agreed that if someone was
interested in switching from one commission to anther, however, Chat
would be acceptable.
ADJOURN Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLDTION NO. 2007-1-27 -ADJOURNING
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener.
Ayes (5).
Nays (0).
