MINUTES CITY COUNCIL JULY 11, 2007 PARKING The Public Works Superintendent reviewed his report dated July 10, LOT 2007 outlining the bids received for 2007 parking lot striping. The STRIPING low bid was received from Reliakor Services in the amount of $1,241.00. The Superintendent reported that all City parking lots will be striped except for the City Center parking lot. The Superintendent reported that the City Engineer would like to add the striping of the parking lot at ] 0 Yorkton Court, which the City disturbed as a result of a storm drainage improvement. That brings the total striping cost to $1,390.00. Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOL UTION N0.2007-7--169 -AWARDING THE LOW BID OF RELAKOR SERVICES FOR 2007 PARKING LOT STRIPING AS WELL AS THE STRIPING FOR IO YORKTON COURT AS REQUESTED BY THE CITY ENGINEER The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. WAGON The City Clerk reported that Abbas Obeid has made application for a VENDOR Wagon Vendors License in order to operate an ice cream riuck in the LICENSE- City. Mr. Obeid has submitted proof of appropriate insurance. ABBAS OBEID The consensus of the Council was to require a Sheriffs Department background check on Mr. Obeid and any employees he might have. Council also instructed staff to review the Wagon Vendors Ordinance and bring back a recommendation that would include more stringent requirements. Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTIONNO. 2007-7-170 - APPROVING A WAGON VENDORS LICENSE FOR MR. ABBAS OBEID FOR THE LICENSE PERIOD JULY 1, 2007 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2007 SUBJECT TO A SATISFACTORYSHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT BACKGROUND CHECK ON MR. OBEID AND ANY EMPLOYEES HE MIGHT HAVE The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
