MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 11, 2007 <br />Mr. McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTIONNO.2007-7-I67 -AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC <br />WORKS DEPARTMENT TO INSTALL THE "OLD KETTLE RIVER" <br />STREET SIGNAGE AS REQUESTED BY THE HISTORICAL <br />SOCIETY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />2007 STREET The Public Works Superintendent reviewed the bids received for 2007 <br />SEAL COATING street seal coating. The low bid was from Pearson Brothers, Inc. at $.98 <br />per square yard, which is a significant increase from last year's price of <br />$.64 per square yard. This increase is due to the higher cost of oil. The <br />Superintendent reported that Pearson Brothers did the City's 2006 seal <br />coating work, and he recommended approval of the low bid. <br />Blesener noted that the project will be done jointly with the City of <br />Vadnais Heights. The cost to Vadnais is higher. The Superintendent <br />reported that Vadnais Heights has different specifications, and uses a <br />smaller rock. The Superintendent felt that the rock that Little Canada uses <br />was safe and provided along-wearing surface. <br />The streets that will be seal coated this year are: <br />Little Canada Road (Rice to County Road C) <br />Park View Court <br />Market Place Drive (Little Canada Road to First Bank Drive) <br />Australian Avenue (Lakeshore West to end) <br />Bluwood Avenue (Lakeshore West to end) <br />Middle Street (Little Canada Road to First Bank Drive) <br />LaBore Road (Edgerton to County Road D) <br />Nadeau Road (Country Drive to Condit) <br />Mr. McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2007-7-168 -AWARDING THE LOW BID FROM <br />PEARSON BROTHERS FOR 2007 SEALCOATING WORK <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0).
