MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 8, 2015 <br />CLERK IN HER REPORT DATED APRIL 6, 2015 AT A COST NOT <br />TO EXCEED $14,000 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />SPOONER Keis noted that at its last meeting, the Parks & Recreation Commission <br />PARK discussed a reforestation project for the northeast corner of Spooner Park. <br />REFORESTA- Keis felt that in light of requests that the Canadian Days Committee on has <br />TION made for additional parking at its celebration, there should be a workshop <br />PROJECT meeting held with the City Council, Commission, and Canadian Days. <br />The City Administrator reported that in discussing this issue with the <br />Parks Consultant, he was informed that the reforestation would occur <br />outside the area that Canadian Days has requested for additional parking. <br />Keis stated that he had questions and would like to have a workshop <br />before any additional work is put into this effort. He also noted that the <br />Commission will be holding its annual park tour on Thursday, May 7°i, at <br />5:30 p.m. Ile indicated that he will be unable to attend the workshop, but <br />suggested that others from the Council might be interested in going. <br />The Administrator suggested that another topic of discussion should be the <br />long-term goals for Veterans Memorial Park McGraw suggested that <br />another point of clarification should be the City's position about which <br />properties on Round Lake it is interested in acquiring. <br />Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2015-5-75 — CALLING A WORKSHOP MEETING <br />WITH THE COUNCIL, PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION, <br />AND REPRESENTATIVES OF CANADIAN DAYS AT A DATE AND <br />TIME TO BE DETERMINED BY THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0).
