MINUTES CITY COUNCIL APRIL 22, 2015 FIRE RELIEF BENEFIT INCREASE RESCHEDULE MAY 13, 2015 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING CLOSED SESSION - PURCHASE OF 56 LITTLE CANADA The City Administrator reported that the Little Canada Fire Relief Association is requesting a benefit increase for 2015 of $35 per year of service from $3,265 to $3,300. He reviewed the Fire Relief Funding/Benefit Increase Parameters that were adopted by the City that covers benefit increase from 2015 through 2019. The Administrator noted that the increase being requested meets the parameters, which require a 110% funding level. Based on the funding parameters being met, the Administrator recommended approval of the benefit increase. McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2015-4-77 — APPROVING A LITTLE CANADA FIRE RELIEF BENEFIT INCREASE OF $35 PER YEAR BRING THE BENEFIT LEVEL TO $3,300 PER YEAR OF SERVICE GIVEN THAT THE INCREASE REQUESTED MEETS THE FIRE RELIEF FUNDING/BENEFIT INCREASE PARAMETERS AS ADOPTED BY THE CITY The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. The City Administrator requested that the Council reschedule its May 13th regular meeting to either May 11 th or May 12thHe noted that the City's Manager's conference begins on May 13th Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2015-4-78 — RESCHEDULING THE MAY 13, 2015 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING TO MONDAY, MAY 11, 2015 WITH THE MEETING TO COMMENCE AT 7:30 P.M. The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. The City Attorney requested that the Council go into closed session as authorized by State Law to discuss the purchase agreement for the City's purchase of the property located at 56 Little Canada Road East.
