MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />MAY 27, 2015 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 27th day of <br />May, 2015 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor John Keis called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Mr. John Keis <br />Council Member Mr. Tom Fischer <br />Council Member Mr. Mike McGraw <br />Council Member Mr. Rick Montour <br />Council Member Mr. Christian Torkelson <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Mr. Joel R. Hanson <br />City Planner Mr. Steve Grittman <br />Cable TV Producer Mr. Kevin Helander <br />City Clerk Ms. Kathy Glanzer <br />MINUTES Torkelson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2015-5-96 — APPROVING THE MINUTES OF <br />THE MAY 11, 2015 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING AS <br />SUBMITTED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution adopted. <br />FIRE DEPT. Fire Chief Don Smiley appeared before the Council to present a donation <br />DONATION to the City's Fire Equipment Fund. The Chief reported on the Fire <br />Department's long history in conducting charitable gambling since its <br />inception in 1945. The Chief noted that funds generated by charitable <br />gambling provide the Department with the flexibility to fund special <br />projects, both for the Fire Department and for the City. Examples of some <br />of the City projects that the Department donated to include the purchase of <br />Spooner Park, the Historical Society addition, and the Veterans Memorial. <br />The Chief also noted that a couple of years ago the Fire Department <br />
