MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 27, 2015 <br />FINAL PLAT <br />& FINAL <br />STAGE PUD - <br />SENIOR <br />HOUSING — <br />HEARTH <br />DEVELOPMENT <br />AMEND <br />PUD PERMIT — <br />FARMERS' <br />MARKET <br />decided to donate half of its charitable gambling profits to the City's Fire <br />Equipment Fund. The Chief presented the City with a check in the <br />amount of $52,000 which represents 50% of the Department's 2014 <br />gambling profits. <br />Mayor Keis thanked the Little Canada Fire Department on behalf of the <br />entire City for their generous donation and for their service to the <br />community. <br />The City Planner reported that Hearth Development has requested that the <br />the Council table action on the Final Plat for Black Tern Addition as well <br />as Final Stage Planned Unit Development (PUD) Permit to allow the <br />construction of a 120 -unit senior housing facility consisting of <br />independent living, assisted living, and memory care on the property <br />generally southeast of the intersection of Rice Street and Country Drive <br />until the June 10th Council meeting. Hearth Development would like <br />some additional time to bring the plans into conformance with the <br />recommendations of the City Planner and City Engineer before they are <br />presented to the Council. It was noted that the June 10th is within the <br />City's 60 -day review period. <br />Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2015-5-97 — TABLING ACTION AND <br />CONTINUING THE PUBLIC HEARING ON THE FINAL PLAT FOR <br />BLACK TERN ADDITION AND FINAL STAGE PUD PERMIT FOR <br />SENIOR HOUSING DEVELOPMENT AS REQUESTED BY <br />HEARTH DEVELOPMENT UNTIL THE JUNE 10, 2015 REGULAR <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fischer. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Keis opened the Public Hearing to review the Amendment to the Planned <br />Unit Development (PUD) Permit for the operation of a seasonal farmers' <br />market at the Saxon Lanes and the Market Place Shopping Center <br />properties as requested by the City's Parks & Recreation Department. It <br />was noted that the Planning Commission recommended approval of this <br />request. <br />The City Planner reported that the City's farmers market currently <br />operates from two locations in the parking lot of Saxon Lanes as permitted <br />2 <br />
