MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING CITY COUNCIL LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA SEPTEMBER 26, 2007 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 26th day of September, 2007 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. Mayor Bill Blesener called the meeting to order at 6:45 p.m. and the following members of the City Council were present at roll call: CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Mr. Bill Blesener Council Member Ms. Barb Allan Council Member Mr. John Keis Council Member Mr. Mike McGraw Council Member Mr. Rick Montour ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Mr. Joel R. City Clerk Mr. Steve Grittman Ms. Jessica Jagoe Mr. Tom Duray Mr. Scott Barraclough Mr. Chuck Pechmann Ms. Kathy Glanzer OUTDOOR The purpose of this evening's continued workshop is to review proposed STORAGE changes to the I-1 Zoning District, primarily dealing with outdoor storage issues. The other area to be reviewed relates to the procedures utilized for concept reviews. The City Planner began a detailed review of his report dated September 20, 2007 highlighting proposed changes to the I-1 Zoning District. He noted the proposed change increasing the amount of accessory building area from 30% of the gross floor space of the principal building to 60%. He also noted a limitation that one accessory building would be allowed on a property. The Planner noted the deletion of the section that allowed company trucks and trailers to be limited to 10% of the rear yard as a permitted use. The deletion of this section would cause company trucks and trailers to either be stored inside or part of the Interim Use Permit for outdoor storage. The Council discussed this potential deletion, and it was their consensus to continue to allow company trucks to be parked as a permitted use in not
