MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />DECEMBER 3, 2007 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 3rd day of <br />December, 2007 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at <br />515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Bill Blesener called the meeting to order at 7:45 p.m. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />Mayor <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Mr. Bill Blesener <br />Mr. John Keis <br />Mr. Michael McGraw <br />Mr. Rick Montour <br />ABSENT: <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Council Member <br />City Administrator <br />Finance Director <br />City Clerk <br />Ms. Barb Allan <br />Mr. Joel Hanson <br />Ms. Shelly Rueckert <br />Ms. Kathy Glanzer <br />RFP'S The City Administrator reported that seven RFP's were received for <br />FOR LEGAL legal services, three of which included both civil and prosecution <br />SERVICES services, one for civil only, and three for prosecution only. The firms <br />submitting are as follows: <br />Sweeney, Borer & Sweeney -Civil and Prosecution <br />Kelly & Fawcett -Civil and Prosecution <br />Newquist & Herrick -Civil and Prosecution <br />Ratwik, Roszak & Maloney -Civil <br />Robb Olson -Prosecution <br />Hughes & Costello -Prosecution <br />Hedbeck, Arendt, Kohl & Carlson -Prosecution <br />The City Administrator presented a Legal Services RFP Comparison <br />Matrix summarizing information from the RFP documents submitted. He <br />also submitted a cost history of the City's legal expenses billed by the City <br />Attorney for 2005 through October 31, 2007 as well as an estimate of <br />2008 costs. The Administrator lastly submitted estimations of 2008 civil <br />and prosecution costs based on the RFP information provided from the <br />various firms submitting. <br />Based on the City Council's review of RFP documents as well as the <br />summary information provided by the City Administrator, it was the <br />
