MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 3, 2007 <br />RFP'S FOR <br />AUDITING <br />SERVICES <br />consensus of the Council to interview all firms submitting proposals. The <br />first found of interviews would be introductory, and it was felt that the <br />current City Attorney's firm would not need to be interviewed during this <br />round. A second round of interviews would then be held interviewing the <br />current City Attorney's firm as well as any other firms chosen for this <br />second interview session. <br />The Council directed the City Administrator to schedule three interviews <br />for Monday, December 10°', and three interviews for Thursday, December <br />17`x' at one hour intervals with the first interviews to begin at 4:00 p.m. <br />Council and staff will develop a list of interview questions to be utilized <br />for the interviews. Once these interviews are completed, the Council will <br />schedule the second round. <br />The Finance Director submitted a summary report on the RFP's received <br />for auditing services. Five RFP's were received from the following <br />firms: <br />HLB Tautges Redpath, LTD <br />Larson Allen, LLP <br />Malloy, Montague, Karnowski, Radosevich & Company <br />Kern, Dewenter, Viere, LTD <br />Abdo, Eick & Meyers, LLP <br />ADJOURN <br />The Finance Director reviewed specifics of firms' size, number of cities <br />audited, and peer review results, in addition to fees proposed for both the <br />City's audit and the Fire Relief Association's audit. Based on this review, <br />the Director recommended that the City hire HLB Tautges Redpath, LTD <br />as the City's auditor for the next four years (audit years 2007 through <br />2010). <br />Mr. Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO.2007-1 Z-313 -HIRING HLB TAUTGES <br />REDPATH, LTD. AS THE CITY'SAUDITOR FOR AUDIT YEARS <br />2007 THROUGH 2010 BASED ON THE RECOMMENDATION OF <br />THE FINANCE DIRECTOR <br />Nays (0).
