MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 19, 2007 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />PARKS & It was noted that there will be three vacancies on the Parks & Recreation <br />RECREATION Commission effective January 1, 2008 when the terms of office expire for <br />COMMISSION Tony Mans, Kevin Steinert, and Ruth Steinwall. While Steinert and <br />Steinwall have applied for reappointment, Tony Mans did not given he <br />desire to spend more time with his family. It was also noted that <br />applications have been received from Carol Smith and Thomas Maida. <br />The City Administrator reported that the Parks & Recreation Director and <br />Tony Mans have not had an opportunity to interview the two applicants, <br />and suggested that the appointment be tabled until the first meeting in <br />January. The Parks & Recreation Commission will have to operate short- <br />handed during their first January meeting. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2007-12-338 -TABLING ACTION ON THE <br />PARKS & RECREATIONCOMMISSIONAPPOINTMENT UNTIL <br />THE JANUARY 9, 2009 COUNCIL MEETING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The Mayor and Council thanked Tony Mans for the excellent contribution <br />to the Commission, and hoped that he would again become involved in <br />public service. <br />ADJOURN Ms. Allan inri•oduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTIONNO.2007-12-339 -ADJOURNING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0).
