MINUTES CITY COUNCIL DECEMBER 19, 2007 The Council discussed the matter, and it was noted that there has been only one complaint about excessive deer, and that person was seeking a bow and arrow permit to conduct his own hunt. Blesener noted that given all the areas that deer populate and travel through, the count would not likely provide accurate information. It was the consensus of the Council to not proceed with a deer count at this time. LEGAL Blesener noted that the City has received seven proposals in response to its SERVICES request for proposals for legal services. All seven firms have been PROPOSAL interviewed. The Administrator reported that he is completing reference checking on each of the firms. Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOL UTION NO. 2007-12-336 - CALLING A WORKSHOP MEETING FOR WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 2, 2008 AT 5:00 P.M. TO REVIEW AND DISCUSS PROPOSALS FOR CITY LEGAL SERVICES The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. PLANNING The City Adminisri•ator reported that there will be two vacancies on the COMMISSION Planning Commission effective January 1, 2008 as the terms of office for APPOINT- Tom Duray and Dan Knudsen expire. Both Duray and Knudsen have MENT applied for reappointment. Additionally, Steve Ledin applied to the Planning Commission. Blesener reported that he and the City Administrator interviewed Ledin and feel with his background and experience he would be an excellent addition to the Commission. Blesener also noted that the two incumbents have applied and both have done excellent jobs. By unanimous ballot of the Council, Duray and Knudsen were reappointed.
