The City Attorney indicated that the City can establish the moratorium for any time frame up to a maximum of 12 months. );xtensions of the moratorium will require a public hearing. The City Administrator recommended establishing a 12 month moratorium, pointing out that should the City complete its study earlier, it can repeal the moratorium at any time. It was noted that once adopted, the moratorium would go into effect on the date of publication, the earliest being March 20, 2007. Mr•. Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO.2007-3-60 - AN INTERIM ORDINANCE ESTABLISHINGA MORATORIUMONOPENAND OUDOOR STORAGE AS A CONDITIONAL USE AND ANACCESSORY USE WITHIN "I-1 "LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICTS WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA FOR A TIME PERIOD TO EXTEND THROUGH MARCH 2O, 2008 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. Ayes (4). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. 2007 The City Administrator reviewed the City Engineer's report dated IMPROVEMENTS March 9, 2007 requesting approval of plans and specifications as well as authorizing the calling for bids for the 2007 Street Improvements. These improvements include the following: o Rerouting of Viking Drive just east of Rice Street to create a new intersection with Minnesota Avenue; o Reconstruction of Viking Drive from the realigned section to County Road B-2; o Reconstruction of Canabury Drive from County Road B-2 to Demont Avenue; o Construction of Boss Road from Bryan Street to the north. Other improvements that will be included in the bid request are the reconstruction of the old section of the Old Fire Hall Parking lot and storm sewer improvements adjacent to Resources for Child Caring. The City Administrator reported that the next Council agenda will include an action item to call for the assessment hearing for Boss Road. 9
