MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MARCH 26, 2007 <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CONSENT Ms. Allan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />AGENDA <br />RESOLUTIONNO.2007-3-72 -REMOVING THEAMENDMENT TO <br />THE CITY'S ORGANIZED COLLECTION ORDINANCE FROM THE <br />CONSENT AGENDA FOR FURTHER DISCUSSION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mr. Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTIONNO. 2007-3-73 -APPROVING THE CONSENT <br />AGENDA WHICH CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING: <br />*APPROVAL OF THE VOUCHERS; <br />*DESIGNATION OF ICDI, INSTITUTIONAL CD'S INC., AND ICD <br />SECURITIES AS AN INVESTMENT DEPOSITORY FOR THE CITY <br />OF LITTLE CANADA FOR 2007 AS RECOMMENDED BY THE <br />FINANCE DIRECTOR; <br />'•;4PPROVAL OFANASSESSMENT REAPPORTIONMENT FOR <br />DIVISIONNO. DH070016 AS RECOMMENDED BY CITYSTAFF; <br />*GRANTING AN EXTENSION FOR THE CANADIAN WOODS <br />FINAL PLAT UNTIL JUNE 20, 2008 AS REQUESTED BY PAT <br />JOHNSON <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ORGANIZED Allan indicated her continued opposition to some of the exemptions <br />COLLECTION proposed under the Organized Collection Ordinance amendment. Allan <br />ORDINANCE felt that allowing exemptions to residents who own businesses or rental <br />properties within 25 miles of Little Canada was discriminatory. Allan felt <br />that this exemption gave a privilege to a business owner that was not <br />available to other residents. <br />9 <br />
