MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 9, 2007 <br />CUPS AND Mayor Blesener reported that Hom Furniture has requested that their <br />TEXT applications for Text Amendment allowing furniture retail and other <br />AMENDMENT - retail uses compatible with furniture sales in the B-W Districts, and <br />3201 COUNTRY Conditional Use Permits for proof of parking and comprehensive sign <br />DRIVE - plan be tabled this evening. Hom Furniture is negotiating with the <br />HOM property owner for the purchase of the building, and would like action <br />FURNITURE on their zoning applications delayed until those negotiations are <br /> completed. It was noted that Hom Furniture has signed the appropriate <br /> waiver of the 60-Day Law. The City Clerk noted that the waiver extends <br /> the City's review time through the end of June, but Hom Furniture may be <br /> on the agenda for review as early as the next Council meeting. <br />Ms. Allan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2007-5-II2 -CONTINUING THE PUBLIC <br />HEARING AND TABLING ACTION ON THE HOM FURNITURE <br />APPLICATIONS FOR TEXT AMENDMENT ALLOWING <br />FURNITURE RETAIL AND OTHER RETAIL USES COMPATIBLE <br />WITH FURNITURE SALES IN THE B-W DISTRICT, AND <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMITS FOR PROOF OF PARKING AS <br />WELL AS COMPREHENSIVE SIGN PLAN FOR PROPERTYAT <br />3201 COUNTRYDRIVEASREQUESTEDBYHOMFURNITURE <br />UNTIL AN UPCOMING COUNCIL MEETING PRIOR TO THE END <br />OF JUNE, 2007 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />VOUCHERS Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2007-5-I13 -APPROVING THE VOUCHERS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />2007 The Public Works Superintendent reported that the City has received <br />IMPROVE- seven bids for the 2007 Improvement Projects, with the base bids <br />MENTS - ranging from $1,230,977.22 to $1,780,283.68. The low bid was received <br />AWARD BID from T. A. Schifsky and Sons. The Superintendent noted that Schifsky's <br />constructed the City's 2006 Improvement Projects and did a good job. <br />The 2007 Improvements consist of: <br />
