MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 28, 2007 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />SIGN The City Planner reported that the Citgo Station is converting to a BP, <br />PLAN therefore, will be replacing their current signage. Signage at the station <br />REVIEW - will now be brought into compliance with the City's Code. The Planner <br />CITGO noted that the sign code does not address the menu board that is proposed <br />STATION for the car wash. The Planner classified this menu board as <br /> directional/informational signage for on-site traffic. The Planner felt that <br /> the menu board was acceptable, and recommended approval. <br />Dan Ross, owner of the Citgo Station, indicated that the menu board is <br />informational/directional for car wash customers. He noted that the <br />previous ownerjust had a plywood sign up. The new menu board will be <br />3 feet by 5 feet. Ross also noted that the high rise pylon sign on the <br />freeway side of the property will be coming down. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2007-2-SO -APPROVING THE CITGO SIGNAGE <br />PLANAS PRESENTED BASED ON THE RECOMMENDATION OF <br />THE CITY PLANNER <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The Council was asked whether the enter and exit signage over the car <br />wash doors was acceptable. The City Planner indicated that this signage <br />over the car wash doors was acceptable and meets the City's code. <br />OUTDOOR Blesener noted that the top goal at this year's goal setting session is to <br />STORAGE study the issue of outdoor storage. Blesener recommended that a <br />moratorium be called on issuance of any permits for outdoor storage until <br />the City has had time to study this use in detail. Blesener suggested that <br />the first step would be to have a workshop to begin the discussion. <br />Montour agreed and noted that staff will be putting together an action plan <br />relative to this goal. Montour suggested that the workshop include the <br />Planning Commission. <br />Keis asked if there are any outdoor storage applications pending.
