Resolution declared adopted. <br />ST. JOHN'S Mr. Al Erickson, Catholic Financing Corporation, appeared before the <br />CHURCH Council and reported that St. John's is seeking to refinance the debt <br />CONDUIT associated with their school construction project of a few years ago. <br />FINANCING St. John's would like to obtain tax-exempt financing, but to do so, the City <br />of Little Canada will have to give its approval to the financing. The City <br />would serve as a conduit for the debt. The debt is not an obligation of the <br />City, even in the event of a default by St. John's. <br />The City Administrator indicated that under the conduit financing, the city <br />lends its name to the issuance of the debt, thus making it tax-exempt. <br />There is no risk to the City in doing this.
