MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 14, 2007 <br />LITIGATION session is necessary to discuss the limits of this lawsuit and the City's <br />potential defenses. <br />Ms. Allan inrioduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2007-2-33 -CALLING FOR A CLOSED SESSION <br />AT THE END OF THIS EVENING'S CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CITY CENTER The City Clerk presented an amendment to the City Center Use Policy <br />AND OLD which clarifies that use of the City Center at no charge is allowed by <br />FIRE HALL political groups for public events such as town meetings and candidates' <br />USE POLICIES debates. Use by political groups for their monthly meeting space would <br />be allowed fora $100 per meeting charge. <br />The Clerk also presented an amendment to the Old Fire Hall Use Policy <br />which removes the designation of this facility as a storm/emergency <br />shelter. The Old Fire Hall had been a storm shelter for residents of the <br />City's mobile home parks. These parks now all have on-site storm <br />shelters for their residents. <br />Mr. McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTIONNO. 2007-2-34 -ADOPTING THEAMENDED CITY <br />CENTER USE POLICYAND OLD FIRE HALL USE POLICYAS <br />PRESENTED SY CITYSTAFF <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />PARK The City Administrator reviewed his report dated February 8, 2007 <br />CHARGE - relative to the proposed park charge for the Canadian Woods plat. He <br />CANADIAN outlined the park charge option that would appear to meet the desires <br />WOODS of all concerned. <br />Dedication of a blanket trail easement over the 150 feet of property <br />to be sold to the Maplewood residents; <br />• The 150 feet of property to be sold must be kept in its natural state <br />and with a deed restriction to ensure continuity of this provision; <br />
