MINUTES PLANNING CONINIISSION OCTOBER 11, 2007 much of this run-off and decrease the amount of run-off flowing north off the Steinert property. Knudsen noted that the theory is that the drainage situation will be improved for the surrounding property owners to the extent possible. The City Planner indicated that in reviewing the drainage for this plat, the City Engineer will look for opportunities to correct any existing drainage problems. Knudsen noted that the outstanding issues for this plat are tree preservation, status of Outlot A, and storm water drainage. The City Planner noted that based on the discussion this evening, there is more clarification on Outlot A and there is the potential that the outlot can be eliminated. The applicant has also provided more information relative to the need for a cul-de-sac variance. There is additional clarification needed as to a tree preservation plan and the storm water plan. Knudsen recommended that action be tabled on the Preliminary Plat for Whispering Pines until the November 8, 2007 Planning Commission meeting pending additional information on Items a. through d. as outlined in the City Planner's report dated October 5, 2007 relative to tree preservation plan or landscaping plan, Outlot A, redesign of lot line for Lot 6, Block 1, and additional explanation on the need for a cul-de-sac length variance as well as the City Engineer's review and comment on revised storm water drainage calculations submitted by the developer. Motion seconded by Helmeke Motion carried 5 - 0. ZONING The City Clerk reminded the Commission that a Joint Workshop of CODE the Planning Commission and the City Council has been scheduled for WORI~SFIOP Wednesday, October 24, 2007, at 5:30 p.m. to review proposed MEETING amendments to the Zoning Code.
