MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />JULY 9, 2015 <br />domain. Duray felt that the intended use of this property by the City was <br />consistent with the Comprehensive Plan. <br />Heikke recommended the finding by the Planning Commission that the <br />acquisition of 2801 Country Drive by the City for redevelopment of a <br />hotel or office -warehouse project was consistent with land uses for this <br />area as stated in the Comprehensive Plan. <br />Motion seconded by Schwalbach. <br />Motion carried 5 — 0. <br />The Planner clarified that given law changes the City's ability to acquire <br />property by eminent domain for private redevelopment is very restricted. <br />Therefore, the City's long-standing policy of acquiring properties as they <br />become available versus by eminent domain is reflective of current law. <br />ADJOURN There being no further business, Duray adjourned the meeting at 8:04 p.m. <br />Respectfully sub a'tted, <br />Kathy G1. v er <br />City Cle <br />5 <br />
