Draft -May 25, 2005 <br />Revised -May 26, 2005 <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />The following Scope of Work describes the tasks that may be needed to complete an updated <br />Parks Master Plan for the City of Little Canada: <br />TASK 1. PROJECT START UP <br />A. Confirm the project work program, schedule and public participation <br />process. <br />B. Gather data and information, including base maps and master plans. <br />C. Meet with Parks and Recreation Commission to discuss the planning <br />process. <br />TASK 2. INVENTORY AND ANALYSIS <br />A. Review and analyze each of the existing master plans for the City parks. <br />B. Visit each of the existing parks and conduct a complete inventory of all <br />park facilities. Document the inventory through photographs and <br />inventory/evaluation forms. <br />C. Analyze the current condition of all park and recreation facilities. <br />D. Review the condition of the natural environment at each park. <br />E. Review the edge conditions of the parks and analyze any issues that relate <br />to adjacent properties or land uses. <br />F. Review aesthetic issues within the parks and analyze opportunities for <br />addition park amenities. <br />G. Review maintenance practices and analyze the impact of current practices. <br />Evaluate any alternative practices that seem feasible. <br />H. Review and evaluate current park and trail policies and ordinances. <br />I. Meet with the Park and Recreation Commission to review the inventory <br />and analysis. <br />TASK 3. DEMOGRAPHICS, TRENDS, AND RECREATION NEEDS <br />A. Update the current demographics for the City. <br />B. Review the current park usage and participation in recreation programs. <br />C. Review current trends in park design and recreation use. <br />D. Review and analyze recreation needs. <br />
